Dear Rick,
I can't begin to express how
excited I am to have the little chest my father made me
fifty years ago refinished and sitting in my dining
room. I find myself going to look at it several times of
the day. What a labor of love you put into it! I am
ever so grateful for your restoration. I will certainly
refer you to anyone that I know that is looking for a
woodworker. You are a perfectionist!
I imagine that the smile
on my fathers face as he gazes down from heaven is
causing the sun to shine ever so brightly. How much
pride he must have to see the chest as it used to be!

Thanks again for the
terrific built in entertainment center. We could not be
happier with the finished product. After months of
trying to find someone to build this for us, we found
your website. You were very accommodating of our work
schedules, coming to our house on the weekend to design
the piece and provide an estimate. The work was done
promptly and arrived on time and in perfect condition.
The piece was installed quickly and easily. The entire
process was handled professionally, and we are
thoroughly satisfied with the result. We happily will

First the entertainment unit and now the book case, both of
the highest quality. I just want to thank you for the
excellent job you did on the bookcase. Not only from a
quality standpoint, which is certainly your trademark, but
also from how quickly and professionally you installed the
unit.
I also want to let you know how easy and enjoyable it is to
work with you. Your attitude and willingness to go the extra
mile says volumes about you and your work.

After using the same TV for more
than twenty years, we bought a HDTV. The problem was that it
didn’t fit into our built-in den hutch. We shopped but
couldn’t find a suitable cabinet for the new TV. Then, we
found rickswoodworking.com on the net. Rick came to our
house, saw what we had, asked what we wanted, and within
thirty minutes designed a custom entertainment center for
us. We got to choose the layout, the style, and the type of
wood. When it was finished he tore our old unit out and
installed the new one which covers an entire wall in the
den. He got the stain on the new entertainment center to
match the paneling stain in the den so closely that it looks
like an integral part of the house. We have now added a DVD
player and a new sound system. Just like going to the
movies. The craftsmanship is great and we are still
discovering features we hadn’t expected to be in the unit.

Just wanted to thank you again for the quality job you did
on my "crystal" cabinet.
I appreciate how you took my verbal idea and turned it into
a beautiful piece of furniture that more than matched my
vision. The wood is beautiful, the stain a perfect match and
the style of the cabinet fits my room perfectly!
When people ask where I got my cabinet I won't hesitate to
share your name and number!

Rick --
Just wanted to drop you a line & say "thanks" for the great
job on the new bookcase. Being in the design business, I'm
still not sure that you're for real, as I've never have a
contractor deliver exactly what he said he would, much less
on time. I think the piece looks great in the space and your
workmanship is superb.
It seems to me that the
Yellow Pages could save a great deal of space by only having
your listing under "cabinetry & mill work". I know I won't
be calling anyone else.
Thank Noel for me as well. It
was a pleasure doing business with the both of you. I'll be
sure to send a photo of the "loaded" product once it's
painted. Which reminds me -- do you know a good painter?
Mine won't call me back....

Dear Rick,
I would like to thank you from
the bottom of my heart. I contacted you concerning my
grandmother's chin cupboard. She was very dear to my heart
and passed away over 40 years ago. I have since been trying
to retrieve the china cupboard that I remembered as a child.
It was in deplorable condition having been stored in the
musty basement of a distant relative for more than 30 years.
It was missing several pieces, all the glass was missing,
and it was falling apart. You agreed to look at it and see
what you could do. I transported the pieces to your shop on
Saturday morning. We discussed what could be done while
retaining the character of the china cupboard. We agreed
that the back would have to be replaced; the entire china
cupboard would have to be
dismantled-cleaned-reassembled-reinforced. I instructed you
to take your time and just "do the best you could". I
expected the transformation to take a few weeks. Several
hours later, the same day, I received a call and clearly
expected you to tell me that the china cupboard was beyond
hope. No--- you called to tell me is was finished!! My
husband and I raced over to your shop and I was absolutely
amazed. It looked absolutely fabulous. I had tears in my
eyes and could not believe the magic you must have used. I
still need to replace the glass but it is now in a much
better position to work with. Again I thank you so very
much. Grandma would be proud. I know I am.

Rick was great to work with. We
drew up plans for 2 built in units to surround our
fireplace. One had to be strong enough to accommodate a 72
gallon fish tank, and the other to fit a 40 inch flat panel
TV. Rick masterfully created 2 matching units from the
front, but the one unit is framed to hold the enormous
weight of the fish tank. He was easy to work with from
design through installation and we love the finished
project.

Rick,
Thank you so much for the gorgeous entertainment center you
custom built for us. The end result exceeded our
expectations. Knowing that we had wanted the entertainment
center to look more like furniture versus a built in, you
did a wonderful job. I was amazed at how the piece just fit
into our awkward space you had to work with. The extra work
in the
beautiful stain color and details did not go unnoticed. And,
as promised the entertainment center was installed before
Christmas! Just in time for our family and friends to admire
your amazing work.
Thanks again for the incredible piece. It really makes our
family room complete!

Thank you so much for the beautiful media cabinet you
designed for our game room. I know we had some unusual
requests and a space that was difficult to work with, but
you designed and built a unit to our exact specifications.
I am also impressed with the quality of the unit. It is far
superior to anything we could have bought in any store.
